Earthdance Tehachapi Music Festival

We are currently planning this year's event.
We are looking for eco-friendly/sustainable Earth type vendors - natural and sustainable products we can feature and display in our 'Natural Vendors Area'.

Our goal is to create a 'Renaissance Faire' type of celebration that honors the current world that we MUST preserve...not a past fantasy; with our Prayer for Peace as the central event, all throughout the World, gathered together through the global language of music and dance.

We are looking for the following things to help us expand our community through education and to help promote new options for creating Planet Sustainability and truly honoring the EARTH:

• Manufacturers or retailers of non petrol-chemical-based lubricants for Skateboard and Bicycle use.
• Natural Hemp Clothes and Products.
• Demonstrations of composting, recycling and decreasing our personal trash output and 'carbon footprint'.
• Stunt Bicycle and Skate teams to perform (and promote natural lubricants).
• A positive message youth rap group for wandering performances throughout the event.
• Spiritual and 'alternative-belief ' presentations.
• Earth friendly Sponsors that will fit with the theme of a Sustainable Earth.
• Organic food vendors.
• Spiritual Guidance.
• And just about anything that you think might improve the message and it's promotion.

THE EVENT!

Come join us in the mountains above Southern California, between Los Angeles and Bakersfield, under the windmills again for another weekend of magic, music and dance - all to celebrate peace and support local charity at the same time. Escape the heat down below. Don't miss this one folks, it will be another must see event!

Earthdance Tehachapi includes a diverse cross-section of musical genres: Bluegrass, Jazz, Rock, Blues and Folk just for starters! We will join with thousands of other people all around the world - coming together to dance as one global community, united with a common vision for peace and humanitarian aims.

We are planning displays on Wind Power and Water Conservation, Natural arts and crafts vendors, Organic food vendors and a true Earth Friendly Celebration.

We're sorry if you missed last year's event...a great time was had by all! To those that were there - we couldn't have had a better time and we thank you all for your support and for helping create the wonderful moments enjoyed by everyone. Thank you! We also would like to offer a special thanks to all the musicians that helped us create 2 days of unbelievable sounds and feelings...and to Lizzy West for her moving recital of the Prayer for Peace...a most inspirational moment for all!

Earthdance was conceived in 1996 by artist/musician Chris Deckker as a vision to unite the whole world through the universal platform of dance and music.

Earthdance has now become the largest global simultaneous dance event in the world. Earthdance Tehachapi is your chance to join the World in a Synchronized Celebration of Peace thru Music.

Mission for Peace

Our mission is to promote peace by joining participants worldwide in a synchronized PRAYER FOR PEACE and to support humanitarian causes through the global language of music and dance.

On the weekend of September 15, 2007, nearly half a million world citizens in over 60 countries will join together for the world's largest simultaneous music and dance festival, supporting peace and humanitarian causes through the global language of music and dance. The defining moment of each Earthdance event is a synchronized link-up, (at 4pm Pacific Standard Time on Saturday) when every event around the world plays a specially produced song called "The Prayer for Peace" at exactly the same time.

Make sure to bring:
Plenty of water containers and plenty of water, Sun Screen, hat and light long sleeve shirt warm clothing as well (this is the land of 4 seasons), flashlights & bug repellent, warmer clothing for nighttime, sense of humor, your smile, your heart.

Please do not bring:
Off-Road Vehicles, illegal drugs or weapons of any kind.
Due to the extreme fire hazard this time of year, please: no fireworks, barbeques or gas lanterns.
And as much fun as we know they will have, please leave the 4 legged friends at home (3 legged dogs are welcome).

Earthdance Tehachapi is a music festival and 3 day camping event on 80 acres in sight of the Windmills in Tehachapi California.

Camping info:
Plenty of primitive camping space is available and included with purchase of ticket. There is also plenty of room for RV's.
Bring what you need to be comfortable with Mother Nature for 3 days.
Chemical toilets and wash basins will be provided.
