The Music
Friday night features The Jeff Jensen Band.
The Jeff Jensen Band is now on over 150 radio stations around the United States as well as stations in Denmark, England, Canada, Australia, Germany, Argentina, Belgium and many more to come. Now signed to Swing Suit Records, the Jeff Jensen Band is extensively touring the West-Coast and surrounding states.
"The Jeff Jensen Band features blues the way it's supposed to be: firm in the grasp of tradition while offering a fresh voice that can be enjoyed by any audience. Lead singer Jensen interprets original songs with authority and dishes out several covers convincingly. His band revels in this blues arena with trademark walking bass, rhythmic back beat, fiery guitar licks, piano and organ romps, and the kind of vocals that stick you in the heart" (
Jim Santella - Southaland BLUES Mag) .
Saturday night showcases CUBENSIS, the nation's only Grateful Dead tribute band personally authorized by Jerry Garcia! Jerry's only restriction..." just do a good job of it."
The group has been acclaimed for giving new life to the Dead's material, bringing in new styles, new innovations, and new jam band enthusiasts, while at the same time remaining loyal to the original music and the original fans. The band is celebrating their 20th anniversary this year.
"Cubensis plays with the same laid-back mastery as the Real McCoy" - LA WEEKLY.
Friday Afternoon will begin with Brad Wilson's Rock & Blues, followed by the blues of Roy Hernandez, then Extraordinary Percussionist Kris Cunningham. Our main event is The Jeff Jensen Band and we finish it up with Bluegrass by Tehachapi's own Geezers on the Loose.
Saturday's Event starts with the Bluegrass sounds of Whisky Chimp followed by the incredible hard rocking blues of Guitar Virtuoso Roby Duron and The Roby Duron Band. We guarantee you won't be disappointed.
Next up is the Folk Rock / Acoustic / Roots Music of Lizzie West and Baba Buffalo, the M.C.'s for Saturday activities. Lizzie West, 2003’s Artist of the Year for AOL and Entertainment Weekly, will perform The Prayer for Peace and lead the Global "OM"...synchronized across the world and occurring at 4:00PM PST.
Following Lizzie and right back into hard Rock & Roll is the Kofi Baker Band, doing a tribute to his father's band, CREAM. This has to be seen to be believed!
Continuing with the music is Tehachapi's own Cheap Yellow Mustard with their Jazz/Rock Fusion sound.
Opening for the headlining act is the Nate LaPointe Band. Nate is one of the guitarists for CUBENSIS, with his own unique and soulful sound.
Last but not least, is CUBENSIS, channeling the Dead like never before!
Between acts we will be featuring Alexa.
Mission for Peace
Our mission is to promote peace by joining participants worldwide in a synchronized PRAYER FOR PEACE and to support humanitarian causes through the global language of music and dance.

The defining moment of each Earthdance event is a synchronized link-up, (at 4pm Pacific Standard Time on Saturday) when every event around the world plays a specially produced song called "The Prayer for Peace" at exactly the same time.
